Athletics Carnival

The 2017 St Paul's Athletics Carnival took place on Tuesday 15th August at Sydney Academy of Sport and Recreation, Narrabeen.

Despite the morning rain there was a great turnout of students with everyone eager to participate and accumulate House points. There was a great buzz around the track with a competitive atmosphere as well as great camaraderie between the students.

The boys participated in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m track events as well as high jump, discus, long jump, shot put and javelin in the field events.

The overall House points lead changed a number of times throughout the day with Bourke ending up victorious. They now hold the trophy for both the Swimming and Athletics Carnival. Congratulations Bourke House.

Over 50 students qualified for the BBSSSA Carnival that took place the next day at Homebush. Good luck boys.

Age Champions will be announced at the co-curricular assembly later this Term.

The final House results were:

1st - Bourke = 1,421 points

2nd - Moran = 1,331 points

3rd - Taylor = 1,313 points

4th - Gilroy = 1,221 points

Thank you to all the staff who did an outstanding job in helping make the day run smoothly as well as the students who represented the College with pride.
