Swimming Carnival Results

Our College Swimming Carnival was held on Wednesday 15th March at Warringah Aquatic Centre and was a great success. The relays and the St Paul's gift were the highlights of the carnival. I would like to thank all staff and students who contributed to make it such a great day.  Read More

Assistant Principal

This week we held our Annual College Swimming carnival and the day was a great success. Many thanks to Mr Noyes who organised a fun filled day for all. These days are an essential part of our College and the involvement of all is important for the community. The house spirit of the carnival was extremely vocal and the Gilroy House overly vocal, with the final relay being cheered for loudly. It was disappointing to note that some students thought of this day as a day off from school and through their absence they missed a great fun filled day. Next week we will be holding our extra-curricular assembly and one of the highlights of this assembly will be the announcement of the winning house and the swimming champions for each age group.  Read More

BBSSSA Basketball - Opens

God both smiled and frowned on the Opens Basketball team on Thursday at Terrigal. The last minute withdrawal of two players (due to circumstances out of the team’s control), and slippery hardwood polished floors to play on the day after the swim carnival with some sore bodies from all those races, meant the odds were always stacked against the SPCC Manly boys. But the avoidance of a 5 car pile-up on the M1 (which was Southbound when we were Northbound), and missing a truck rollover (which was Northbound when we Southbound) meant not everything was against us.

The boys, down on numbers, played their hearts out. Whilst losing all five of their matches, they pushed, challenged and frustrated the eventual winner of the tournament, only losing by 2 baskets. Other game results were similar – losing by close margins, preventing them from progressing through to the semi-finals. The team, great to coach (good listeners who put it into action) were: Jack Birch, Kallen Edden, Justin Pasieczny, Alex Cerovic, Mitch Rankin and Noa Valentine.

Game 1: Lost to Mater Maria, Warriewood 18-22

Game 2: Lost to St Edward's, East Gosford 12-16

Game 3: Lost to Mackillop, Warnervale 23-29

Game 4: Lost to St Peter's, Tuggerah 27-29

Game 5: Lost to St Leo’s, Wahroonga 7-42

Thanks for a good day out boys.

Mr Rowse
