NSW Schools Touch Titles
CONGRATulATIONS YEAR 7& 8 TEAMS – WINNERS!!!!!!
The boys in the Year 7 and 8 Touch Football team had great success at the All Schools State Final, coming home champions.
The NSW All Schools Touch Titles were held in Walsend, Newcastle. They played in very hot and energy sapping conditions. The boys played 7 games in total- 4 round games followed by a quarter-final, semi-final then the grandfinal.
In the grandfinal they played Parramatta Marist. The boys won the final 3-2 with workhorse Simon Lang scoring the winning try just moments before full time.
Simon Lang said on reflection “When I was about to score, I worried that I might step out or drop the ball. When I touched down and scored the feeling was sensational – better than the best Christmas present possible. The rest of my team were so excited”.
