Parents and Friends Association
The College has an active and thriving P & F Association which, over the years, has done a great deal of work to provide the boys with excellent facilities.
The P & F is an integral component of our community and contributes to the strong family culture of the College. All new parents are welcomed to the College very early in the year, through a P & F cocktail evening which they fund and organise themselves. Because we are a close-knit community, many of the new parents are already very familiar with P & F scene here at St. Paul’s and they fit-in very quickly. Those parents from further a field, who may not know anybody at the College are given an extra-special welcome and every effort is made to connect with them and provide them with opportunities to meet other parents.
The P & F meets at the College every third Tuesday in the month (excluding school holidays) to plan fund-raising events and to provide input into the running of the College. We have an elected President, several office-bearers and a committee who plan the many events conducted by the P & F throughout the year.
These events include: Regular Discos for Years 7 - 9, Trivia Quiz, Dinner-Dance, Carols by Candlelight, Working-Bees, Raffles, Golf-Days etc.
All monies raised by the P & F are used to purchase equipment for the College. In 2005 for example, 13 Data Projectors were installed in classrooms. In 2006 the Theatrette was equipped with Surround-Sound DVD technology and an entire computing laboratory was refurbished with State of The Art ICLT. They also contributed to the up-grading of technology in the Music rooms.
